RED BANKS Beach CAMPGROUND

The USA Raft Red Banks Campground is conveniently located just off I-26, along the banks of the Nolichucky River 2 miles downstream from our USA Raft Adventure Resort property. This 22 acre property is the site of where the Battle of Red Banks took place, one of the only Civil War battle sites in Northeast Tennessee. We are proud to be stewards of this special property and we’re excited to share it with our guests to enjoy!

CAMPING

At the Red Banks Campground we offer 30 primitive riverside campsites and a group camp site. A bathhouse offers showers, and restroom facilities. More info can be found on our camping page.

PRIVATE BEACH

Red Banks Campground offers a private beach with deep water perfect for swimming, rare for the Appalachian Mountains! This wide and sandy beach has long been a local hangout, and now it’s exclusively available for guests of USA Raft Adventure Resort. Whether you are a day visitor, rafting trip guest, or an overnight guest at either Red Banks Campground or the Resort, we welcome you to enjoy this special spot along the Nolichucky River.

PARKING

There is plenty of parking at Red Banks! Guests can choose whether they’d like to park at Red Banks or the Resort with their parking pass. Only one vehicle per group is allowed to park at the Resort Property. All additional vehicles are required to be parked at the Red Banks Campground. Guests can carpool or take a complimentary short shuttle between the Resort and Red Banks. Once parking at The Resort is full, all vehicles are required to park at Red Banks Campground.

Kind Words From Our Guests

Closed for 2025

The obstacles to opening USA Raft Adventure Resort for the 2025 Season have simply overwhelmed our desire and work to re-open. Jones Branch Rd remains significantly damaged preventing heavy equipment access to the resort needed to complete major repairs. While we are excited to share the new and amazing Nolichucky River with you but must finish the dirty work of rebuilding.
