Bring the mountain bikes when you visit USA Raft Adventure Resort! We are located short drives from many mountain biking options that cater to riders of all skill levels.

The new Unaka Bike Park is located 5 minutes from USA Raft in Erwin TN! This downhill mountain bike park was built through a partnership with IMBA Trail Solutions and will eventually offer 10+ miles of trails rated easy, moderate, and difficult. Also be sure to check out The Peddler’s Rest across the street from the entrance to Unaka Bike Park!

Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park is located about 30 minutes away from USA Raft near downtown Johnson City TN. This mountain bike park was also built in partnership with IMBA Trail Solutions and offers 4+ miles of downhill mountain bike trails just outside of the historic downtown district.

Warriors Path State Park offers about 12 miles of mountain biking trails located near Kindsport TN, about 45 minutes from USA Raft Adventure Resort.

Steele Creek Park offers 20+ miles of mountain bike trails suited to riders of all skill levels. This extensive trail network is located about 50 minutes from USA Raft Adventure Resort near Bristol TN.

Bays Mountain Park offers 40+ miles of trails that cover most of the terrain in this 3,560 acre park reserve. Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium is located about 45 minutes from USA Raft Adventure Resort near Kingsport TN.

There are endless mountain bike trail options in Western NC, many within an hr drive of USA Raft Adventure Resort. The closest options include Bent Creek and Pisgah National Forest.

We offer shuttles from The Resort to different destinations. For rafting and kayaking, we offer shuttles to the Nolichucky Gorge launch site located in Poplar NC. Please give us a call at 1-800-USA-RAFT to schedule any shuttles in advance.

(Generally) No. Liability waivers are typically completed by legal guardians only. If you are with a Summer Camp or Youth Group, leaders and chaperones can sign the waivers provided certain conditions are met, please contact us to discuss your specific questions.

Yes, however, we require you to do a lesson or provide a certificate from a previous lesson first.

No, Onewheeling can only take place on clear, sunny days.

Yes, a professional guide will lead your One Wheel lesson and decide when you are free to take the One Wheel out on your own.

No, cave trips meet at the Bluff City Boardwalk & Pavilion.

No, there are optional routes for more adventurous cavers, however, we will accommodate all skill levels on cave excursions.

Temperatures within Worley’s Cave remain constant at about 55 degrees, making it a great year-round adventure.

Yes! The Resort is located directly off the Appalachian Trail and we welcome all hikers.

If you are staying at The Resort, then sure! We have limited parking at The Resort. Parking is only available to our lodging guests, day-use guests, and guests visiting the Take Out Tavern. Appalachian Trail parking for overnight excursions is available at Red Banks, also at the Appalachian Trail trailhead.

We custom cater each SUP trip to our guests’ ability levels. We offer flatwater and whitewater lessons, and both one-on-one and group lessons. Please reference our Stand Up Paddleboarding page or contact us for additional information.

Trips are limited to 2 to 8 individuals and cater to each person’s unique abilities and experience. All climbing is done ‘on belay’ and – other than the steep, uneven terrain, natural stone, trees, and wide open spaces – is much like climbing in a gym. Start at the bottom, climb as high as you are able, and descend back to the ground under the control of your guide. Please reference our Climbing page or contact us for additional information.

Unaka Bike Park is located about 5 minutes from both USA Raft Adventure Resort and Red Banks Campground. Please visit our mountain biking page for additional information. Located 10 minutes and 6 miles North on I-26 at Exit 34 is the Pinnacle Fire Tower multi-use trail head. The trail is a challenging but beginner-friendly climb of approximately 6,000 ft elevation gain that leads to a 360 degree view at the top of a restored Forest Service fire tower.

No! The Appalachian Trail is open to foot traffic only.

Yes fishing is allowed at both The Resort and Red Banks Campground. Please note these are popular areas with people using the river so all fisherman must use caution and yield to other river users.

The Legacy Anglers guide carries two fly rods and a casting rod on each trip.
