The Nolichucky River Gorge is one of the most adventurous and scenic rivers in the entire Southeast. The Upper Nolichucky has over 25 named class II, III, and IV rapids along nine miles of pristine wilderness. The French Broad River is the 3rd oldest river with classic class II-III rapids. The French Broad and the Nolichucky Rivers are some of the best whitewater rafting in North Carolina.
