Which Trip is Best for You?
We classify our rafting trips into three categories. These classifications take river conditions and choice of craft into consideration. The trips show the minimum age/weight to go on the trip.

Family Class - Perfect for younger children and first-timers. These trips provide a gentle introduction to rafting for the whole family. Family Class
French Broad Express - 8 years old
French Broad 5-Mile with Lunch - 8 years old
Upper New Express - 6 years old
Lower Nolichucky Half Day - 4 years old
Lower Pigeon Express - 4 years old
Nantahala Half Day - 7 years old or 60 lbs
Nantahala Rentals - 7 years old or 60 lbs

Adventure Class - Action packed and exhilarating, our Adventure trips pick up the pace. More challenging than our Family Class trips, these rivers are ideal for older children, adventurous first-timers, and experienced rafters.
Adventure ClassLower New Express - 12 years old
Lower Gauley Express - 12 years old
Nolichucky Express - 10 years old
Nolichucky Day - 12 years old
Upper Pigeon Express - 8 years old
French Broad 9-Mile with Lunch - 8 years old

World ClassWorld Class - The ultimate in thrilling outdoor adventure. This class of whitewater is highly technical, fast, and difficult. Experienced paddlers only.
