Rafting Tennessee
Tennessee Whitewater Rafting Rivers
We run white water raft trips on the Pigeon River and the Nolichucky River in Tennessee. The Pigeon river is the perfect rafting trip for groups visiting Smokey Mountain National Park, or nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. More remote and wilder than the Pigeon, the Nolichucky is a free flowing river that cuts through a spectacular gorge.
The Pigeon River — Hartford, Tennessee
The Pigeon is the perfect gateway for groups visiting the Smoky Mountains and nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. With so many fun things to do in the area, a trip on the Pigeon is the best way to round out a memorable outing to the Smokies.
The Nolichucky River — Erwin, Tennessee
The Nolichucky is a magical place. Born on the slopes of Mount Mitchell, the Noli surges into the ridge of the Unaka Mountains and cuts across the Tennessee and North Carolina border. This free flowing river is as diverse as it is spectacular. But one thing is for sure-you’ll have a great time. Jagged rock faces tower over beds of laurel and rhododendron. Deer come down to the water to drink. It’s no wonder our customers return to the Noli year after year to lose themselves in this wonderland.
The Ocoee River — Tennessee
The Ocoee River, hands down, is one of the most exciting rivers in the Southeast! With scheduled releases, the Ocoee has consistent water flows all season long. The Class IV-IV+ rapids are made up of steep, vertical ledges and technical boulder fields, and a gradient that drops steadily through an ever-deepening canyon. The rapids continue to climb the whitewater scale until arriving at the Big Fat Gap Bridge. Here begins two of the steepest commercially rafted miles of whitewater in the U.S. There are two sections to choose from, the Upper Ocoee and the Middle Ocoee. For the best Class III-IV white water rafting in the Southeast, combine the Upper and Middle sections of the Ocoee.
The Watauga River — Johnson City, Tennessee
The Watauga River is a Class I-II trip with one exciting Class III rapid called “Anaconda”. The Watauga River is an excellent first time family rafting trip. Imagine a relaxed family rafting trip with time play along the way! It is a the perfect first time rafting/float trip for families with younger children ages 4+.
