USA Raft and Legacy Anglers have partnered to bring you a world class fly fishing experience. Come fish in some of the Southeast’s most premier trophy waters and experience the renowned scenic beauty of the Tennessee Mountains. Let Legacy Anglers help you and your family make a memory of a lifetime!
Tennessee is one of the fastest growing fishing opportunities in the South, and it is starting to leave its mark on the fly fishing community. TWRA, TVA, and other conservation groups have worked hard to restore and stabilize trout populations across the state.
Fish the finest Smallmouth waters that the region has to offer. Spring, early summer, and fall are ideal times to fish this free flowing river. Adequate rain and water levels can mean great fishing even in late summer!
Watauga & South Holston Rivers
The Watauga River boasts the famous “Trophy Section” for rainbow trout. Come fish a trout river where you can fish caddis, mayfly, or midge imitations. And if you’re up for the challenge of casting streamers, the Watauga offers some big browns that would make for the fish of a lifetime!
The South Holston is one of the east’s most technical rivers. Matching the hatch is everything, and when you connect, the beautiful Honey Do Browns are a fish that will never leave your memory! This river is famous for its Sulpher Hatch in the spring and BWO hatch during late fall and winter.
Does fly fishing look “too hard” to you? Let Legacy Anglers give you a comprehensive lesson that covers the basics. The lesson covers three basic casts, basic knot tying, and discussion about equipment, flies, water reading and hatch matching. Lessons are conducted primarily in the water.
Intro to Flyfishing – $175 for one person (approx. 3 hrs)
