Whitewater SUP Instruction
If you’re looking for one-on-one Whitewater SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Instruction, look no further! USA Raft offers true SUP instruction using Corran Street Fighters and can accommodate any skill level. Our instructors use a variety of local rivers to teach groups of 6 or less everything from the basics of Whitewater SUP to advanced techiniques. A Bellyak is a quick and easy way to get on the water, explore and play. Low risk + high reward = big fun for everyone. Bellyak instruction and trips provided by USA Raft are led by trained guides and can accommodate all skill levels. Bellyak boards are longer than a traditional riverboard, more stout than a surfboard and shapelier than a standard SUP. These boats are designed to be ridden lying down, without restricting straps or a confining spray skirt. Think of it as a belly-on-top instead of a sit-on-top. Cut through the waters of the Nolichucky or French Broad Rivers in a easily maneuverable, responsive ride with the best gear and instructors around!

Get in touch with your Inner Tube at Zen Tubing! There are two convenient Asheville locations (Midtown and South) and they are open 7 days a week from 10:30-4. Zen Tubing provides a 4 mile lazy river tube trip (2-2.5 hours of float time) for ages 4 and up as well as free parking and a picnic area for guests. Rates are $15 for age 12 and under, $20 for anyone older, and group rates are available. No reservations are required, but groups are encouraged to call ahead. Did you say Kolo? Yes, it rhymes with flow. Here you’ll find about 4 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trail on rolling terrain designed for all levels of rider to experience flow. Whether your flow is taking it easy or something that pushes your edge, you’ll find a taste of it at Kolo Bike Park. Kolo is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Park access for the full day is $19 for adults and $14 for youth and Western North Carolina residents. Partial day access is $8 for all ages and bike rentals are available starting at $39. Combo bike/park access packages are available and groups are welcome.
